Optimising the management of electric vehicle recharging (optimisation of demand, modulation of recharging of EVs in periods of high demand, allocation of energy across the network, etc.) is a crucial challenge for the management of tomorrow’s electric networks.
Drop’n Plug is a development project in line with this strategy, providing a solution for optimising the management of EV recharging. It is mainly aimed at long stay car parks and takes into account network constraints (load management and clipper system, production of local Renewable Energy and storage on 2nd generation battery, reservation and monitoring of recharging).
Today, this project is coming into effect through the implementation of a prototype charging station in the EFFIA car park (EFFIA is a leading car park operator in France). The first test phase will be followed by a second phase in partnership with Japanese manufacturer Honda, with the aim of deploying internationally over time.
Added value of the project :
- Industrialisation of an integrated system capable of taking specific usages into account: operator/owner of long stay car parks.
- Development of a solution for managing the recharging of EVs (load management)
