Individual self-consumption with storage on second life batteries, photovoltaic awnings and vehicle recharging in a retail location.
SMILE's involvement in this project
Gémo installed a photovoltaic awning in the carpark of their shop in Trignac.
This awning has a surface of 306 m2, and is composed of 185 panels provided by EDF, with a production capacity of 47,000 kWh/year, which is the equivalent to the yearly consumption of 10 households.
The shop is powered 100% by renewable energy: 40% of this energy is produced in the carpark and 60% is supplied by French renewable energy producers via enercoop. An electric vehicle charging station was also installed for visitors to the business zone.
This station can be used simultaneously by two motorised vehicles or electric bicycles.
Aadded value of the project
First specialised self-consumption project for a retail zone combining solar panels, storage with reconditioned batteries and vehicle charging for the brand’s customers.
