L'action de SMILE pour ce projet
Project involves the entire town centre of Langouet (located in the Ile-et-Vilaine département). This project seeks to draw up and implement a cradle-to-cradle (C2C) approach (positive-impact circular economy) in the areas of urban/land planning, construction, mobility, and overall ecosystem.
The project involves setting up collective self-consumption of renewable energy for the town centre of Langouet. It aims to develop two distribution loops for collective self-consumption: one that partially uses the power produced by the town-owned ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels, and the other roof-top PV panels on individual homes or small collective residential buildings. Installation of collective storage batteries is being considered to optimise the self-production rate.
The goal is to provide power for the town’s public buildings. Plans also include using the solar-generated power to feed into electric vehicle charging stations, whose location has not yet been defined (carpool parking area, public property, private property).
This inclusive town project won the ADEME call for expression of interest on town planning and circular economy projects and is also part of a testing agreement with ENEDIS.
Added value of the project:
- Implementation of PV production solutions, electricity storage solutions
- Coverage of roughly 50% of electricity needs through on-site power generation
- Reduction of greenhouse gas emission and the use of fossil fuels
- Determination of the real costs of the PV power produced locally
- Test how well the project can promote on-site power generation
